It seems no one can give me straight answer on how I can find out the general odds of certain wins hitting on these machines. I’ll give some examples of what I’m looking for.

1) The odds of a 1,600 jackpot at a Double Diamond Dollar Machine?
2) The odds of a 2,500 jackpot at a Triple Dimond Dollar Machine?
3) The odds of a 5,000 jackpot at a Red,White, and Blue 2-coin Dollar Machine?
4) The odds of a 10,000 jackpot at a Double Black Tie 3-coin Dollar Machine?

5) The odds of a Cherry hitting?
6) The odds of a Single Jackpot Symbol hitting?
7) The odds of “3 any 7s”? 8) The odds of “Three 7s of the same color”?

I’d really like to know these GENERAL odds, they don’t have to be specific.

How can can I find this out. Where do I need to go for this information I’m looking for?

Well, I work in a casino and know how the slots work. Each reel has a certain number of virtual stops that aren’t related to the other two reels. Each casino can order how many of each virtual stops they want on a reel. This is how the percentages are set. So one casino with a 99% payback on Double Diamond my only have 25 stops while a casino with 90 percent may have 30 stops. Then each symbol is assigned a number from 1-30 (or however many stops there are) A cherry may be assigned 5 of those numbers, a BAR may be assigned 4, The DOUBLE DIAMOND symbol is only assigned 1 of those numbers and each reel would have to pick that number for all 3 reels to hit the jackpot. The same goes for every machine.

One thing can be said. The more symbols there are listed on the payout schedule, the harder it is to hit the big jackpot. The easiest jackpot to hit is “Blazing 7’s”. When I was in slots we even had one person hit 5 jackpots with 20 minutes. 3 of them on one machine in 5 spins.
